AI is beginning to make music. We are entering an era in which anyone can produce results faster than ever before.

Yet somewhere along the way, I realized that making music was no longer as enjoyable as it once had been.

I started making music because I loved not only the finished product, but the process itself. Exploring sounds, developing ideas, making countless decisions, learning through trial and error, and bringing a piece of work to life. As AI began to take over that very process, I found myself losing the joy of creation.

I did not want to surrender the process I had fallen in love with.

As technology advances, humans should become capable of more. But that does not mean we should be pushed out of the very activities that give those capabilities meaning.

AI learns from existing data and uses it to generate results. But I believe AI will never surpass the human capacity for creation.

At the same time, we must acknowledge that humans struggle to keep pace with AI’s speed of work.

This makes the challenge ahead all the more clear.

We need an entirely new workflow — one that dramatically improves our speed of work while keeping creative control in human hands.

RelayButton is the first result of this vision.

Instead of asking what we must surrender, we ask what we can become capable of achieving.

인간을 다시 창작의 주인공으로.

AI가 음악을 만들기 시작했습니다. 누구나 이전보다 빠르게 결과물을 만들어 낼 수 있는 시대입니다.

하지만 저는 어느 순간 음악을 만드는 일이 더 이상 즐겁지 않다는 사실을 깨달았습니다.

제가 음악을 시작한 이유는 완성된 결과물만이 아니라, 그 과정 자체를 사랑했기 때문입니다. 소리를 탐구하고, 아이디어를 발전시키고, 수많은 선택과 시행착오를 거쳐 하나의 작품을 완성하는 과정. AI가 바로 그 과정을 대신하기 시작하면서 저는 창작의 즐거움을 잃어가고 있었습니다.

저는 제가 사랑했던 그 과정을 AI에게 양보하고 싶지 않았습니다.

기술이 발전할수록 인간은 더 많은 것을 할 수 있어야 합니다. 하지만 더 많은 것을 할 수 있다는 이유로, 인간이 직접 해왔던 일에서 밀려나야 할 이유는 없습니다.

AI는 기존의 데이터를 학습하고 이를 바탕으로 결과물을 만들어 냅니다. 하지만 저는 AI가 인간의 창작 능력을 넘어설 수는 없다고 믿습니다.

반면 인간이 AI의 작업 속도를 따라가기 어렵다는 사실은 인정해야 합니다.

그렇기에 우리가 해야 할 일은 더욱 명확해졌습니다.

인간이 창작의 주도권을 유지하면서도 작업 속도를 획기적으로 개선할 수 있는 새로운 워크플로우가 필요합니다.

이러한 생각에서 출발한 PiXER의 첫 번째 결과물이 바로 RelayButton입니다.

우리는 무엇을 포기해야 하는지가 아니라, 무엇을 더 잘할 수 있는지를 묻습니다.
